While everyone knows that Cristine Reyes is the younger sister of actress Ara Mina, her entrance into show business is less blood-related and more about sweat and tears as a contender in a reality talent competition.
She joined ABS-CBN in 2008, where she had her first major break playing the title role in the drama series Eva Fonda. This was followed by other lead parts in Precious Hearts Romances Presents The Bud Brothers, Kristine and My Cheating Heart, Reputasyon, Dahil Sa Pag-Ibig, Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin, Honesto and Tubig at Langis. She was also part of the original gang of the gag show Banana Split.
In 2011, Cristine made her debut film entitled No Other Woman, which became the second highest-grossing film in the Philippines for that year. The movie’s blockbuster success ultimately earned her the Box-Office Queen title at the GMMSF Box-Office Entertainment Awards along with her co-lead Anne Curtis.
