Dina Bonnevie

Dina Bonnevie first gained popularity in local show business as one of the members of the Regal Babies. She initially appeared in big screen comedies such as Underage and Temption Island and later transitioned t more serious roles in the coming-of-age film Katorse and the romantic drama Bakit Ba Ganyan?, for which she also sang and popularized the theme song composed by her former husband Vic Sotto. The couple appeared in the films Ride On Baby, Mama Said, Papa Said, Hindi Pa Tapos Ang Labada, Sarling! and Bakit Ba Ganyan? (Ewan Ko Nga Ba, Darling). Her dramatic ventures rewarded her with a number of acting recognitions such as Best Supporting Actress awards for her performance in the film Tinik sa Dibdib and Best Actress awards for Magdusa Ka. She has also made notable works in Gumapang Ka Sa Lusak, Sa Kabila ng Lahat, Huwag Mong Salingin Ang Sugat Ko, Ang Babaeng Nawawala Sa Sarili, A Dangerous Life, Eskapo: The Serge Osmena-Geny Lopez Story, and American Adobo. Dina has also appeared in main roles for several Kapamilya teleseryes including Hiram, Walang Kapalit, Sineserye Presents: Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos?, May Bukas Pa, Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin and Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon and sat as a judge in the dance competition U Can Dance. Dina is the mother of actor Oyo Boy Sotto and actress-TV host Danica Sotto.
