Sports man and television news anchor TJ Manotoc started his career on TV as a courtside reporter for the now defunct Metropolitan Basketball Association (MBA), way back in 2000. Soon, he has made a name for himself as a basketball analyst, delivering commentaries on games played on the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) and the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). To date, TJ Manotoc is the sports news anchor for ANC show, “The World Tonight” as well as the resident Sports and Technology Correspondent for “TV Patrol.”
A natural on-screen, TJ Manotoc is not just limited to sports, as he’s also adept at delivering hard-hitting news stories as well. He became a host for “Mornings @ ANC” and as well as a news anchor for “The Rundown,” also from ANC. To date, he’s a news anchor for “@ANCAlerts.”
TJ Manotoc graduated from Ateneo de Manila University in 1999 with a degree in Marketing Management. He pursued graduate studies in the same institution, finishing a Master of Arts in Journalism. An accomplished reporter, he was awarded as Best Science and Technology reporter for television and Best Documentary for “Runaways: Human Trafficking in Jordan by the KBP Golden Dove Awards in 2008.
