This charming chinita from Cebu first won the hearts of television enthusiasts as a housemate in the Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition series, where she was later proclaimed as the Big Winner. This was also where she met her first on-screen romantic partner Gerald Anderson, who would also become her off-screen boyfriend.
The couple, tagged as Kimerald, immediately became regular hosts and performers in ASAP and were featured in the ABS-CBN drama anthology Love Spell, the sitcom Aalog-Alog and the film First Day High. Having gained a good following as a love team, they were then tapped to headline major primetime soaps such as Sana Maulit Muli, the Philippine adaptation of the hit Koreanovela My Girl, Tayong Dalawa and Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo. The two also shared resounding success for their big screen pairings in I’ve Fallen For You, Paano Na Kaya? and Till My Heartaches End before calling it quits on and off screen.
Kim later played the lead in My Binondo Girl, where she was first paired with her current romantic partner Xian Lim. The couple has since shared screen time in the televions hits Ina, Kapatid, Anak and The Story of Us as well as in the rom-com flicks Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?, Bride for Rent, Must Date the Playboy and All You Need is Pag-Ibig.
Outside her famous love teams, Kim was also able to make her own mark as a gifted actress in the films I Love You, Goodbye, The Healing, Etiquette for Mistresses and as Mulan in Walt Disney Asia’s 12 days of Princess campaign. She has also succesfully released her own recording albums including Gwa Ai Di and the platinum success Chinita Princess. She is currently seen as one of the hosts in The Voice Kids and ASAP.
