Nikki started out a career in the field of media and entertainment as a voice over talent for commercials at the young age of four. It was also a major commercial that officially opened the doors for her in show business.
Nikki released her first album, self-titled Nikki Gil, in 2005 and eventually made a mark in hosting with stints as a VJ for Myx Channel, Studio 23’s early morning show Breakfast, ASAP, Pinoy Dream Aacademy, and E-Live. She was also able to showcase her talent in acting by the joining the casts of the drama series Pangarap na Bituin, Pieta, Florinda, Mundo Man ay Magunaw, Apoy sa Dagat, Maria Mercedes and Hawak Kamay and top billing The Red Shoes, which won Best Picture in the 27th Bogota International Film Festival. She also bagged the Best Single Performance by an Actress award at the PMPC Star Award for TV in 2013 for her guesting in the long-running drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya.
