Five years of unanswered questions about Delfin (Fernando Poe, Jr.), who vanished without a trace, compels Georgia (Sharon Cuneta) to embark on a search for his whereabouts--a search that ends up in a remote provincial jail where Delfin is incarcerated. Delfin serves a prison term for a crime he did not commit, but is clueless on exactly how and why he was dragged to the scandal. A lucky chance buys Delfin his momentary freedom--but he must uncover the secrets deliberately kept from view by a seemingly influential person before he ends up once again in jail--or this time to his grave. Meanwhile, Georgia finds herself stripped of her wealth and power and has to reconcile herself with utter penury while she wages an uphill battle for complete reinstitution--should she find the right evidence. Will the two finally get together--and stay together for good this time?
